Mom and I ventured into foreign film territory and watched Pan's Labyrinth. I was worried, but Mom did a great job at keeping up. We talked Guillermo Del Toro and trivia. We had a lovely pot roast theme meal.

Mom and I start July 2026 off with Wet Hot American Summer. I figured after making her sit through Sleepaway Camp, she deserved a funny summer camp movie. We talked the limited information and trivia we could find. I have major brain fog and we devolve into goofy stuff we've seen on TikTok.

EPISODE 112: ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK

Mom and I sit down and watch another John Carpenter classic, Escape From New York. There is no food in the movie, so we had hamburgers and french fries. We talked a little bit about Carpenter and trivia and new things coming to the Toledo, OH area.

EPISODE 111: THE CRAZIES

Mom and I sat down and watched the George Romero classic, The Crazies. There isn't a lot of food in this movie, and I wasn't fixing to eat cold soup direct from the can, so we got diner food. We picked this movie as Hanta Virus and Ebola are hot topics this summer. Who knows if we'll have another pandemic? In this movie, they were ready to nuke small town Pennsylvania...could that happen in real life? Who knows.

Mom and I sat down and watched Blade Runner. I think it went over both our heads, but the cinematography was beautiful. We talked Ridley Scott and trivia and had a lovely ramen entree Mom found online.

Mom and I sat down and watched The Cell. There is no food in the movie, so we had breakfast from Mayberry Diner. We talked trivia and the director and the music videos of it all.

EPISODE 108: LOCK, STOCK AND TWO SMOKING BARRELS

Mom and I sat down to watch Guy Ritchie's Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. We talked trivia, the director and the Madonna of it all. We had a lovely pub grub fish 'n chips meal and did a basic TikTok. We discussed a bad review we got too. Fun was had by all. I have to apologize for some farty sounding squeaking. I had my microphone too close to my face the whole time, and with a computer, a notebook and a couple of cats in my lap, it was hard to get comfortable LOL.

Mom and I sat down to watch Night Of The Comet. We were...disappointed, though it's easy to see why it's a Cult Classic. We had a grab n' go style food court breakfast smorgasbord, talked for 2 seconds about the director, the end of the world and I troubleshot Mom's favorite news app on the Roku.

Mm and I sat down and watched V For Vendetta. We chatted the director, trivia and stats and had a theme meal of Egg In A Hole's with a side of hash and fruit. We get a little critical of current events and my brain melts down at the end. Go watch our accompanying TikTok.

EPISODE 104: THE SHINING

Mom and I finally sat down and watched The Shining. We didn't have very much snow to accompany it, but we enjoyed it nevertheless. We had a room service meal from the Waldorf-Astoria in Chicago because the room service at The Stanley was all steak and I had to think of Mom's digestion. We talked trivia, stats and the Kubrick of it all.

EPISODE 99: ABIGAIL

Ending our streak of favorite movies on our way to Episode 100, Mom and I sat down and watched Abigail. A bright spot in Universal Pictures Dark Universe, this movie is great. We talked the directors and trivia, and Mom learned more about Found Footage Films, and learned that Abigail was not Found Footage, to her relief. Find this movie, it really is one of the better horror movies of the last few years.

Mom and I sat down with a good meatball and enjoyed The Wedding Singer for the umpteenth time. If you haven't seen this, it's time to move out from under your rock. The soundtracks are bomb. We talked the director, the trivia and just how well Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore mesh on screen.

Mom and I sat down and watch an unhinged 80's parody, Totally Awesome. This movie had next to no trivia and mom wasn't able to dig too much up on Neil Brennan. It's on YouTube to watch in the shittiest resolution possible, but get your hands on a copy of this, you will love it.
